TRACOuk has established strong relationships with several charities and organisations in and around Portsmouth over the past few months. The Charities and Organisations with whom we have developed close ties, are those that assist individuals and families with housing needs by helping them relocate and acquire the furnishings and other necessities to make a house feel a little more like home all while helping the environment by diverting used goods from landfills.

How do we donate? Many of our donations come from our 2 Community Containers, where anything we place in the containers is completely FREE to anyone who wants them! However, recently we have also been donating mounds of Carpet Tiles! These small but mighty objects are brilliant; they can fill a home and are completely damage free, which is key for when moving! 

One of the organisations we have been working with is 'TheHub4Stuff' which is located in Gosport and Fareham.

They:

• Supply low-income people with good quality furniture and household goods at no cost
• Provide a donation-based van removal service
• Upcycle furniture for sale
• Provide training and volunteering opportunities to help those in the local community develop practical skills
• Encourage everyone to re-use, recycle and upcycle

Alyson from the organisation gave feedback on how thrilled they were with the donation and how appreciative people are when we are all able to help them with Carpet Tiles, especially now the weather is getting colder.

Our aim is to keep the goods moving and keep items out of landfill. TRACOuk is passionate about protecting precious resource from being plundered...by keeping goods in use for longer, we lower our carbon footprint and reduce demand for raw virgin material.
